San Diego Kitchen Remodel - Rancho Bernardo
This kitchen remodel was creatively designed to bring the space up-to-date within the existing structure. Natural colors were emphasized in order to enhance the beautiful views of the golf-course seen from the kitchen windows. A built-in work space with open shelving was incorporated using complementing tones at the rear of the kitchen. The multi-hued glass mosaic draws its colors from the granite tops and the two-toned cherry cabinetry is complemented by the variation of natural tones in the hickory wood floors.
Challenges of this project included preserving the foot print of the kitchen in order to maintain existing elements such as the coffered recess in the ceiling. Custom built-in cabinet components were constructed for the kitchen in the field in order to create specialized open shelving to accommodate the homeowner’s specific requests. An encased refrigerator cabinet with paneling was designed and built in the field for an existing ceiling and lighting plan. Skilled craftsmanship provided the necessary tools to meet the challenges of this kitchen remodel. The result is an elegant new custom kitchen designed with added functionality, rich textures, and modern amenities.
